Clippers in hand. Phone handled.
You're mid-fade and the phone rings out, and that walk-in just went down the street. Your AI receptionist picks up every call, books the chair, answers the wait-time question, and does it 24/7. It tells callers it's an AI, and it can always pass them to a barber.
The phone doesn't wait for you to finish the fade.
Calls ring out mid-cut
Clippers buzzing, hands on a lineup, nobody grabbing the phone. The caller doesn't leave a voicemail. They call the next shop.
Walked down the street
A fade and beard trim that never made it to your chair. If they like the other shop, that's a regular you lost, not one cut.
Calls after you close
Guys plan tomorrow's cut tonight. If nobody answers after close, tomorrow's book fills up somewhere else.
An AI receptionist that knows chairs, books and walk-in traffic.
Books by barber
Regulars ask for their barber by name. The AI checks that barber's book and locks in the slot, with no double-booked chairs.
Wait-time answers
"How long's the wait?" is a big share of your calls. The AI answers from the walk-in info you keep updated and offers to hold a slot so walk-ins actually walk in.
Booth renter friendly
Each barber keeps their own calendar. One shop line, and every booking lands in the right barber's book.
Hours and pricing
Fades, tapers, lineups, hot towel shaves, kids' cuts. The AI quotes your prices and hours from your own menu.
Messages with read-back
Captures callback numbers digit by digit, reads them back to confirm, then texts the shop a summary of every call.
Never off the clock
After-close callers booking tomorrow's cut get a real answer at 9 PM instead of voicemail. The appointment is waiting when you open.
Where the AI books for real, and where it can't yet.
Square Appointments and Google Calendar get booked during the call, and each barber can have their own. Vagaro lets us read availability but not write to it, so the AI texts the caller your booking link or hands the request to the shop. If your barbers use Booksy, the AI still answers, quotes and takes the booking details, then texts them to you.
Every system, one pageLive in days, not months.
Tell us about your shop
Your barbers, your cuts, your prices, walk-in policy, and when you want a call handed to a person. One short call.
We build your receptionist
We connect each barber's Square Appointments or Google Calendar, train the AI on your menu and the way your shop talks, and wire in your desk phones if you have them.
Test, then go live
Call it yourself, tune the answers, then forward your shop line. Same number your clients already know.
Call (866) 823-0175 and ask it what a caller would.
The demo line is the same assistant your customers would hear. Try saying:
- "Can I get a fade and a beard trim?"
- "How long's the wait right now?"
- "How much is a haircut and lineup?"
- "Is my barber working Saturday?"
It says it's an AI. Every call, right after your name.
More than a dozen states require every party to consent before a call is recorded, and more states each year require bots to identify themselves. Our greeting handles both, so a caller can never say they were misled, and the transcripts in your dashboard are ones you can rely on. Anyone who asks for a person gets one.
Questions shop owners ask.
Can it book appointments with a specific barber?
Yes. The AI knows every barber in your shop and their individual schedules. Regulars can ask for their barber by name, and the AI books straight into that barber's book, or offers the next chair available if they're full.
We take walk-ins. Does an answering service even make sense for us?
That's when it helps most. A big share of barbershop calls are people asking how long the wait is before they drive over. The AI answers from the wait-time info you keep updated, and because it can't see your floor in real time, it offers to book a slot so the caller shows up instead of drifting to another shop.
Our barbers are booth renters with their own books. Can it handle that?
Yes. Each barber can keep their own Square Appointments or Google Calendar, and the AI routes each booking to the right barber's book. One shop line, every chair covered.
Will it integrate with my booking software?
Square Appointments (Plus or Premium) and Google Calendar get booked directly during the call, with double-booking protection. With Vagaro the AI reads live availability and either texts the caller your booking link or sends the request to the shop. Acuity Scheduling (Premium plan) books directly as well. For systems we don't connect to yet, like Booksy, the AI still answers, quotes and takes the booking details, then texts them to you.
Will it know our cuts and prices?
Yes. During onboarding we load your full menu, fades, tapers, lineups, beard trims, hot towel shaves, kids' cuts, with prices and durations, so the AI answers pricing questions accurately. You can update it from your dashboard.
Does it tell callers it's an AI?
Yes. Right after your shop's name it says the call may be recorded for quality assurance, then introduces itself as an AI assistant. Anyone who asks for a person gets transferred to the shop or a barber's cell, and if nobody can pick up it takes a message with a callback number and texts it to you.
Do I have to change my shop's phone number?
No. We forward your existing shop line to the AI, or port it onto our phone system if you want desk phones too. Clients keep calling the number on your window, your Google listing and your cards.
