AI receptionist for grooming shops and mobile groomers

Hands in the tub? Your phone is answered.

When you're mid-bath or on the clippers, the phone rings out and that booking goes to another groomer. BookLine AI answers every call 24/7, books appointments, captures the pet's details, and texts you the summary. It tells callers it's an AI, and it can always ring through to you.

Hi, I need a full groom for my goldendoodle, Biscuit. He's about 60 pounds.
We can do that. For a large doodle I have Thursday at 10:00 or Saturday at 9:00. Which works better?
Thursday at 10 works.
Booked for Biscuit, Thursday at 10:00. If it's his first visit, please bring his rabies record. Your confirmation text is on the way.

The cost of missed calls

Every unanswered ring is a groom that goes somewhere else.

Calls go unanswered

One groomer, wet dog, loud dryer. You can't drop the clippers to grab the phone, so nobody does.

A full groom that walked

A full groom plus de-shed that went to voicemail, and then straight to the shop down the road.

Empty slots a text would have filled

A confirmation text with the appointment details and a vaccination reminder is what keeps a slot from turning into a no-show. The AI sends one the moment it books.

Built for how pet groomers actually work

An answering service that knows breeds, coats and vaccination rules.

Books by service

Bath, full groom, nail trim, de-shed. The AI books the right service with the right amount of time for the pet's size.

Captures pet details

Pet name, breed, size and coat condition on every booking, so you know what's walking in before it arrives.

Vaccination reminders

Reminds every new client to bring rabies and vaccination records, and notes their status in your summary.

Breed and pricing questions

Answers the "how much for a husky de-shed?" calls from your own price list, so you stop repeating it all day.

Mobile groomer friendly

Driving between stops? The AI answers, collects the service address, and books into your schedule while you work.

Never off the clock

Evening and weekend callers book themselves in. No voicemail tag, no lost appointments.

Booking, honestly

Where the AI books for real, and where it can't yet.

Square Appointments and Google Calendar get booked during the call. Vagaro lets us read your live availability but not write to it, so the AI texts the client your booking link or hands the request to you. Acuity Scheduling (Premium plan) books directly as well. Whatever you use, the pet's details and the owner's number land in your text summary.

How it works

Live in days, not months.

Tell us about your shop

Your services, pricing by size and coat, vaccination policy, and how you want calls handled. One short call.

We build your receptionist

We configure the assistant in your voice, connect Square Appointments or Google Calendar, and set it up to confirm callback numbers digit by digit and text you a summary of every call.

Test together, then go live

We test it with you, tune it for your shop, and flip your forwarding. Calls that need you get transferred straight through.

Try it yourself

Call (866) 823-0175 and ask it what a caller would.

The demo line is the same assistant your customers would hear. Try saying:

  • "I'd like to book a bath and brush"
  • "How much is a full groom for a golden retriever?"
  • "Do you have anything open Saturday?"
  • "Do I need vaccination records for my first visit?"

Transparent by design

It says it's an AI. Every call, right after your name.

More than a dozen states require every party to consent before a call is recorded, and more states each year require bots to identify themselves. Our greeting handles both, so a caller can never say they were misled, and the transcripts in your dashboard are ones you can rely on. Anyone who asks for a person gets one.

"Thank you for calling Bella's Salon. This call may be recorded for quality assurance. This is Jessica, an AI assistant. How can I help you today?"
Questions owners ask

Questions groomers ask.

Can it quote prices for different breeds and coat types?

Yes. During onboarding we load your price list by service, breed size and coat condition. The AI can quote a bath for a Lab versus a full groom for a doodle, and it flags matted-coat or double-coat cases for a groomer's confirmation instead of guessing.

Will it ask about vaccination records?

Yes. If your shop requires proof of rabies or other vaccinations, the AI reminds every new client to bring or send records before the appointment, and notes the vaccination status in the booking summary it texts you.

What details does it collect about the pet?

Pet name, breed, approximate size or weight, coat condition, temperament notes and the service requested. It also confirms the owner's callback number digit by digit, so your summary text has everything you need before the pet walks in.

Does it work for mobile grooming?

Yes. Mobile groomers are on the road between stops all day. The AI answers every call, collects the service address, books into your schedule, and texts you a summary so you never pull over to return a voicemail.

Will it integrate with my booking software?

Square Appointments (Plus or Premium) and Google Calendar get booked directly during the call, with double-booking protection. With Vagaro the AI reads your live availability and either texts the client your booking link or sends the request to you. Acuity Scheduling (Premium plan) books directly as well.

Does it tell callers it's an AI?

Yes. Right after your shop's name it says the call may be recorded for quality assurance, then introduces itself as an AI assistant. Anyone who asks for a person gets transferred to you, or leaves a message that's texted to you right away.

Do I need to change my phone number?

No. We forward your existing grooming line, or port it onto our phone system if you want a desk phone too. You can also have calls ring your shop first and roll to the AI only when nobody picks up. Most grooming shops go live within 3 to 5 business days.
