Reads availability. Does not write.

Can an AI receptionist book into Vagaro?

Not as a direct write, and no vendor can. Vagaro retired the API permissions that created appointments. What we can do is read your live availability by stylist and get the caller to your booking link or your team while the openings are real.

What the vendor's API allowsRead only

Vagaro's API still reads services, staff and live availability well. The scopes that created customers and appointments were retired by Vagaro, so no outside software books into Vagaro today.

What BookLine does on a call todayReads availability

Reads your live availability by stylist on the call, offers real times, then texts the caller your Vagaro booking link or sends the request to your team to confirm. Running for a live salon today.

What that means for youLink or your team

Callers hear real openings instead of a guess, and they leave with the link in hand or your team already working the request. Vagaro stays the single source of truth.

How a call goes

Real openings on the call, then the link or your team.

The AI sees live availability and offers times that exist. It then texts the caller your booking link, or sends the request to your team to confirm. Your system stays the source of truth.

Every assistant opens with your business name, the recording notice, and an introduction as an AI assistant. Anyone who asks for a person gets one.

Can I get a balayage with Jess this week?
Jess has Thursday at 2:30 and Friday at 11:00 open. Want me to text you the link to lock one in, or have the team confirm it for you?
Text me the link.
Done. The link is on its way to this number, and Thursday at 2:30 is still open as we speak.

Before we connect Vagaro.

The vendor sets most of these conditions, not us. Knowing them up front is the difference between a two-day setup and a surprise.

  • Your Vagaro API credentials (we walk you through the request)
  • Your Vagaro booking link for the AI to text

Where this sits

Where the AI books for real, and where it can't yet.

Some booking systems let outside software write appointments. Some do not, and no vendor can change that. We keep the vendor's side and our side separate, and we update the list as we prove each system.

Questions owners ask

Questions owners ask about Vagaro.

Why can't the AI write into Vagaro?

Vagaro retired the API scopes that let outside software create appointments and clients. Every vendor is in the same position. We say so plainly because you would find out on day one anyway.

So what does the AI do with a booking request?

It reads your live availability by staff member, offers times that exist, then texts the caller your Vagaro booking link or sends the request to your team to confirm. Your Vagaro calendar stays the single source of truth.

Will it work if Vagaro opens the API again?

Yes. The read side is already built and running, and we would add the write step the week the vendor allows it.

Does the AI tell callers it's an AI?

Yes. Right after your business name it says the call may be recorded for quality assurance, then introduces itself as an AI assistant. Callers can ask for a person at any time.

Do I need to change my phone number?

No. We forward your existing number, or port it onto our phone system if you want us to run the whole thing. Your customers never notice.

Not sure what you are running?

Tell us what you book on and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do with it, before you pay for anything.
