Vendor allows it. We are building it.

Can an AI receptionist book into Cal.com?

Cal.com allows it and makes it easy. Its public API creates bookings on any event type, so it is one of the shortest paths to a caller hanging up booked. We have not built it yet.

What the vendor's API allowsOpen write API

Cal.com's API creates regular, recurring and instant bookings against your event types, reads availability, and reschedules or cancels. It works with an API key on the hosted service and on self-hosted installs.

What BookLine does on a call todayIn development

Today the AI answers, quotes from your onboarding, texts the caller your Cal.com booking link during the call, and sends you anything that needs a person.

What that means for youLink texted today

If you run Cal.com, you are a small project away from callers hanging up booked. Tell us and we will build it against your account.

How a call goes

Today: answered, quoted, and the booking link in their hand.

Until the integration ships, the AI answers every call, answers questions from your onboarding, texts the caller your booking link while they are on the phone, and sends your team anything that needs a person.

Every assistant opens with your business name, the recording notice, and an introduction as an AI assistant. Anyone who asks for a person gets one.

Happy to help. I can text you our booking link right now, or take your details and have Alex confirm a time. Which do you prefer?
Text me the link, please.
Sent. You'll see it in a second, and if anything gives you trouble just call back and I'll take it from here.

What you need on your side

Before we connect Cal.com.

The vendor sets most of these conditions, not us. Knowing them up front is the difference between a two-day setup and a surprise.

  • A Cal.com account with an API key (hosted or self-hosted)
  • Event types with durations, and one per person if callers ask by name
  • Your public Cal.com link, so the AI can text it in the meantime
Where this sits

Where the AI books for real, and where it can't yet.

Some booking systems let outside software write appointments. Some do not, and no vendor can change that. We keep the vendor's side and our side separate, and we update the list as we prove each system.

Questions owners ask

Questions owners ask about Cal.com.

Can the AI book into Cal.com today?

Not yet as a direct write. The vendor's API is open; we simply have not built the connection yet, and we build against the first customer who needs it. Today the AI answers, quotes from your onboarding, texts the caller your Cal.com booking link during the call, and sends your team anything that needs a person.

What will change when the integration ships?

The AI will read live availability from Cal.com, offer real times, and create the appointment on the call. Nothing changes on your phones or your number; we switch the tool on for your account.

What do I need to have ready?

A Cal.com API key and your event types set up. That is all the vendor requires.

Does the AI tell callers it's an AI?

Yes. Right after your business name it says the call may be recorded for quality assurance, then introduces itself as an AI assistant. Callers can ask for a person at any time.

Do I need to change my phone number?

No. We forward your existing number, or port it onto our phone system if you want us to run the whole thing. Your customers never notice.

Not sure what you are running?

Tell us what you book on and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do with it, before you pay for anything.
